9/15 11/9/02 12:08 PM Triumph Dolomite Engine

This is the number stamped on the engine block...YC64932HE. Strange for a Spitfire. It turns out that the PO replaced the engine in 1995 with a short block. Evidently it was imported from the UK as the YC identifies it as a Triumph Dolomite, and the H, as high compression (flat top pistons?).
I think this engine, combined with the Weber DCOE, the 4:1 header, Monza exhaust, and the Piper cam, will make this Spitfire into a rocket, compared to a stock 76 Spitfire.
